THE MOSAIC MURAL OF ST. MARGARET OF CORTONA LOCATED
IN THE CHURCH SIDE ENTRANCE - CRAFTED BY PRINCE OF PEACE ART STUDENTS
Worship Commission
The Liturgy and Worship Commission seeks to inform itself through prayer, self-education, and more formal education (e.g., seminars, workshops, etc.) about the intricacies, riches, and mystery of liturgy and worship within the Catholic tradition, using as their guide the liturgical reforms of the Second Vatican Council. This Commission explores ways to enrich our parish worship and liturgies.

Ministry of Care
The St. Margaret-St. John Ministry of Care reaches out to the sick, the home-bound, and to those in hospitals. The Ministry of Care meets regularly to update the list of these parishioners who are an important part of our Parish Community and volunteers visit those who are homebound and cannot get to St. Margaret-St. John for Mass or any other community events. A human connection is maintained between the homebound individual and the parish "being Christ to others." This ensures that any needs the individual may have (i.e., Communion, Reconciliation, etc.) can be made known and addressed.

Bereavement Ministry
The Bereavement Team at St. Margaret-St. John exists to respond to families who are grieving over the death of a loved one. Members of the Bereavement Team listen to the needs of the family and help them plan the Mass of Christian Burial so that the liturgy reflects the wishes and needs of the family. The Bereavement Minister will be present at the funeral to act as a greeter and a supporting presence for the family. The Ministry is also available for consultation later if a family member or friend wishes to share problems or concerns.
Each year on the Feast of All Souls (November 2), we honor all the members of St. Margaret - St. John Parish who have died during the past year. Candles are lit at the Mass for these loved ones who have died and are given to the family as keepsakes.
Youth Ministry is a means for school students to grow as individuals while exploring ideas, values, and faith within the context of a supportive community of peers and adults. This is a parish-wide ministry which strives to provide a variety of opportunities and experiences to draw teens into active, responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the faith community and the greater Catholic Church.
Finance Council
As with any family or institution, fiscal responsibility is a necessity. The Finance Council is charged with the maintenance of our monetary health. It prepares the annual budget, reviews monthly financial perform support tasks for the Parish office and reports on financial matters to Pastoral Council. Additionally, the Council monitors incoming revenues compared to budget.
